Im still confused. Isnt this building slated for demo by KRE when they build phase 3 of JS2? I mean I know its many years off, but you would think you would want a space that has no foreseeable demo planned at all right?

Art House Productions Opens New Journal Square Location GlobeSt.com By Steve Lubetkin| New Jersey JERSEY CITY, NJ?Art House Productions, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to advancing the arts in Jersey City, has opened its new location at 136 Magnolia Avenue. Formerly housed in Hamilton Park, Art House Productions unveiled its new 8,362 square-foot facility adjacent to the PATH Station where Kushner Real Estate Group and National Real Estate Advisors are building the first of three luxury residential towers with street-level retail space as part of their transformative Journal Squared development. The new facility more than doubles the space Art House Productions was using in Hamilton Park. The new space allows expansion of its community programming with additional theatrical productions, film screenings, art exhibitions, youth events and classes. ?We are very excited about what is happening in Journal Square and are thrilled that KRE and National are supporting our vision by partnering with us,? says Christine Goodman, executive director and founder of Art House Productions. ?This is such a wonderful example of people working together to move Jersey City forward. The new space, which includes a front gallery and separate black box theatre well-suited to host simultaneous events, is perfect for the next steps we are taking as an organization to increase the amount of programming we bring to the public. The location right next to the Journal Square PATH Station will also create a convenient exchange with New York City artists. This is going to be an exciting new chapter for Art House Productions and for the entire Jersey City arts community.? Art House Productions is one of the most active arts organizations in the region, serving more than 15,000 audience members per year and providing opportunities for more than 600 artists annually. It hosts approximately 60 events every year at its facility, and also organizes the popular ?JC Fridays? events, a quarterly, city-wide celebration of the arts. The organization was founded in 2001 at Victory Hall on Grand Street in Paulus Hook. In 2006, Silverman Buildings offered to host Art House Productions within its Hamilton Square mixed-use development. The art organization was headquartered there for more than eight years. With that space now earmarked for new development activity, Paul and Eric Silverman reached out to KRE and helped facilitate Art House Production?s move to Journal Square. ?We are delighted to welcome Art House Productions to Journal Square and believe the role it plays in integrating the City?s thriving art and cultural scene into the community will be a key element in re-energizing this historic neighborhood,? said Jonathan Kushner, president of The KRE Group. ?We?re committed to helping Journal Square reach its full potential, and I know that Art House Productions shares a similar vision for this neighborhood and for all of Jersey City.? Journal Squared, a three-phase joint venture development of KRE and National, will include 1,840 luxury rental residences, 36,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space, and a pedestrian-friendly public plaza adjacent to the PATH Station. The first phase, a 54-story, 540-unit residential tower, is scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2016. http://www.globest.com/news/12_950/ne ... uare-Location-350654.html
