Yes, was certainly thinking of reaching out to Catlow as I've heard good things about them. Thanks for verifying.

Can anyone recommend a man with a van type of situation? I'm moving next week from a first floor walk-up to a third-floor walk up and my move is literally two blocks away. I think it's silly for me to hire actual movers so was wondering if anyone knew of a "man with a van" type of thing? (Yes I know I should just ask friends to move - I have one. I just really need another strong arm or two.)
TIA!

Don't get ripped off hire an "actual" mover. It will save you in the long run. Try Catlow in the Heights on Summit off Beacon.

The ones you see advertised locally on street posts like $18/hour per person, typically have a 3-person, 3-hour minimum, plus expenses and tip which probably adds up to~$500 minimum. Having said that, the ones I've used have done a pretty good job, comparable to the likes of Moishe's.

Best way I've found for short moves is to have a moving in party/bbq. Hire a truck from U-Haul for the day (under $100 all-in), and provide food, drinks for the folks helping out.
