Thanks for the tip, I rarely have breakfast in JC. I usually go to Wonder Bagels on Danforth or Crazy Greek(when I am hungover) on MLK when I do. I will give Lou's a try.

That is a nice one too...food taste/quality is average tasty diner fare, but the waitresses and staff are very friendly and fast and the plates are both plentiful and very affordable! Breakfast is the perfect time to go, on a weekday if possible, where you will really get to see the place hoppin' and the staff so on-point...they know so many people's names and/or orders as they walk in the door :) Enjoy!

This IS a great spot :) I am a loyal Roma Deli fan (1599 Kennedy Blvd at the corner of Neptune) but Mozz Boss is doing a great job adding more delicious food options and friendly gathering places to the neighborhood! Next spot I'd like to try not far from Greenville is Carmine's Deli:
http://www.yelp.com/biz/carmines-italian-deli-jersey-city

which, while i'm not proud to admit it, i'm honest enough to feel an urge to divulge i had never even heard of til i read this food article:
http://blogs.villagevoice.com/forkint ... to_eat_in_jersey_city.php

not surprisingly the article features about 90% of it's picks in the downtown area, but it did at least lead me to what i'm sure is a hidden gem since i noticed just by looking at a map, that it seems to be on a side street-ish, mostly residential street like our beloved Laico's :)
Enjoy everybody!

I went over this afternoon, not crowded at all. I guess weekends are not too bad, be warned they do close @ 3 on weekends.

I got the fresh mozz which I have not tried yet, I will be serving it up tomorrow when my guest arrive.

The vibe was unique it was Jersey Shore/Hipster/Saturday Night Fever meets Katz's Delicatessen on the Lower East Side LOL that's the best way to describe it.

The prices were not too bad. I got a half a pound of black olives and a half a pound of freshly just made mozz for $9.00. I love the decor (Large Brick Walls) and the energy. I wish them luck. Have a great holiday weekend everyone.

It was delicious.

I found this old press release..

Among the best news we heard at this past week?s 110th annual La Festa Italiana is that The Mozz Boss of Jersey City is opening a storefront. Now those who have enjoyed this cheesy delight at festivals past will be able to indulge year round. While we generally focus on the goings-on in downtown Jersey City, this gem is definitely worth a mention and a trip to Greenville.

The Mozz Boss is scheduled to open in late September at the site of the old Gino?s Deli at 1716 Kennedy Blvd. The Mozz Boss will be serving sandwiches, assorted veggies and all sorts of cheesy creations.

I'll try it for lunch today.

Its legit. I have been hooked on them lately. The mozzarella is top notch. The roast beef and mozz is good and the chicken cutlet with prosciutto and mozz on garlic bread is really good. You can always tell a good spot when the cops and firemen go there.

Been there. Lunch time gets crowded. Lots of Firefighters were ordering their food when I was there.

A little pricey, the food is good.
