This Saturday is the grand re-opening!

Pacific Flea is a weekly outdoor flea market specializing in antiques and vintage Americana. The grand re-opening will have multiple vendors, food, music, art, and live graffiti! We've partnered with local arts collective Green Villain, Grill Guyz food truck, and Yelp to make sure the event is extra awesome. The event is also BYO, so feel free to bring a six pack and hang out for a bit. Hope to see you all there!

This is a gem ? so happy that my wife and I decided to make the trip over. As the gentleman who owns the property describes he and his neighbors as "Pioneers" ? very true.

I look forward to the spring when we can get back there and really see how much it has grown.

Get there!!

I stopped by for the first time this weekend and, like other recent posters, I was impressed. Cool, interesting stuff -- not junk. And lots of room to expand. They said they plan to stay open through November, then re-open in the spring, hopefully with more vendors.

I stopped by over the weekend and was rather impressed. It is definitely a nice setup they have and they are looking to add more vendors.

There was two vendors the time I went. There's plenty of space for more too. The more word spreads, the more vendors that will show up I'm sure.

I've stopped by a few times, and there seems to be more available every time. It's shaping up nice.

This place is small, it is just one vendor selling some stuff.

Not a flea market as I think of one.

Robin.

The bedbug thing is very overblown, but it makes sense to take basic precautions. I'd avoid buying upholstered furniture, take clothes to the cleaners before taking them home. Books...I'm not sure.

This looks really cool, and I'm looking forward to checking it out - thanks for the post!

BTW - any suggestions on the best way to get there from the Heights via mass-transit? Google maps suggests HBLR to LSP. Oh, and I mentioned this to a friend who lives in Manhattan who cautioned about bed-bugs. He is probably fishing for any excuse not to leave the island, but is there anything to that?

Bed bugs...? Is he looking to sleep in some dingy motel? I don't understand the complaint.

According to my friend, furniture, clothes, books etc., that you find at flea markets are often infested with bed bugs, and you will bring them home. He says books may be OK, if you put them in the freezer for 3 weeks once you get them home. Is that just an urban rumor?

Lol I'm also confused about the bed bugs comment, but can definitely help you with directions. I'd say your best bet is the light rail and then walk, if you don't mind the 15 minute hike (I do it all the time to my house and it's definitely safe during the day).

I stopped by last Saturday. I agree - very nice owners and cool collection of stuff. I'm into antiques and usually go to Montclair for their shops but I'll be going here instead. I picked up a wooden Johnnie Walker crate (circa 1920's) and some vintage bartender's guides (circa 1940's and 60's) for $25.

I stopped by a few times and even purchased a few things. Awesome collection of stuff, but prices are more Antique shop than flea market.

Checked out Pacific Flea last Saturday before the JCAST and it was pretty awesome. They had all sorts of vintage Americana type stuff and the owners were really great. They're located at 149 Pacific Ave in the Lafayette neighborhood and open Saturdays 9-4.

(I'd post pics but embarrassingly can't figure out how on here lol)
