A woman was critically injured early this morning when she suffered burns in a fire in Downtown Jersey City. The blaze at Monmouth and Montgomery streets was reported at about 3:30 a.m., said Joe Shine, a freelance photographer for The Jersey Journal who was at the scene when the victim was brought out by firefighters. The woman was brought to Jersey City Medical Center, Shine said. Details on the blaze and the woman's updated condition were not immediately available this morning.
