The only snake I ever had (briefly) was someones pet (the snake let people handle it) that a friend and myself found down by the Navesink river. It was ordered removed by my mother after my sister snuck up behind mom and put it around her neck.

Goldfish are now considered a no-no for esoteric nutrient reasons, and few snakes species commonly kept will take crickets, not even garters. I'm assuming OT3 has a constrictor of some kind, either a boa/python type or a colubrid like a corn or king. Likely the former, as it was adopted after losing it's home. Happens a lot when they're overfed and grow too big.

Not to give the troll any fuel, but after being herp fan my whole life, I'm kinda down on keeping the big tropical reptiles. Big boas & monitors, even iguanas, just aren't very practical pets. There's an amazing variety of reasonable size N American snakes, and moderate sized lizards like Australian bearded dragons. Sadly, Israel kept his pet beardies and monitor in much too small terrariums.

No worries, my wife disapproves as well. Letting him slowly starve to death because he refuses to eat the defrosted mice that I've tried time and time again in the past isn't really the most humane thing to do either. I reluctantly inherited him because I was the only person available who has experience with reptiles. I'll step down from my soap box now and get back to masturbating, it's been about 15 minutes since my last splooge.

Been taking trolling lessons, or are you just bored since there's no active "dog run" thread to crap on? So terrarium and aquarium hobbyists on on you hit list, who's next? Gardeners?

This stinks, I go there once a week to buy mice. Any reptile owners on the board who can recommend a place within walking/biking distance from downtown that sells live mice? I've tried the mail order frozen mice before and those are a no-go.

Only place I know for sure is the the Petland down 440 by the Pathmark.

Won't take mousicles eh? I thought live feeding had gone out of fashion, and the training techniques for taking dead were pretty good now. I remember biking home as a teen from the pet store with 2 mice for my boa in a box marked: "I'm going to my new home!". Haven't had a boa since, but the garters we've kept go crazy for defrosted pinkies. They take chunks of fish too, and don't grow insanely large. Under rated reps.

Nice guy. I didn't like that they sold pets and exotic animals. I guess Fussy Friends will get an uptick in business.

Wonder if it's just taxes being passed on, or is the block being eyed for redevelopment?
