Depends on how close he is to the Grove-Newark corner. I could see a large 3BR near that intersection going for that.

I know a guy who rented out a 3-bedroom on Manila for $3200/month, so if we're calling that a downtown price, you've got a bargain

I haven't looked at apartments lately and have lost touch with the market.
I like a rental apartment near LSP near the Foundry and am debating whether to take it. I've lived in the Foundry for 4 years and am very happy with the area. I just hate the Foundry. Personally, I'd rather live in this part of town then most anywhere else in JC including downtown. Anyway, it's a 2 bedroom for $1850 in a fairly new apt. bldg. It passes all the tests, i.e., good management, well built, etc. However, $1850 seems like a lot for this area. No amenities but it's only a 15 unit building. Any thoughts? [I have no desire to buy.]
