I received a reaponse from the Path. They are not providing shuttle service but will be adding additional service to the jsq 33rd street line and cross honoring riders onto the exchange place, newport and hoboken light rail stations.

All you have to do is show your metro or smartlink card.

When I was living in Queens, there were jitneys in varous areas that one can get on that goes right into chinatown. Would be cool if there's something here too.

Anyone know?

I've walked there from the 9th street PATH station it took about 20 min. In the spring and summer it was a nice walk.

It really is not that far of a walk. I've done it before and it took me 15 min.

9th street is probably closer - it leaves you much further east

Agreed, then walk a few blocks and grab the B or the D to Grand street and you are in the heart of Chinatown. You can also jump on the F to Delancey and then walk a few blocks over to Chinatown.
