I was there & the concert was ok.
The fireworks were really nice.
They did give out Superbowl ear warmers & handwarmers which were pretty cool.
It was really slippery standing there watching the concert on frozen snow/ice.
There was def more security there than spectators.
Maybe if this got more promotion, more people would of attended.

So I wonder who grab all the tickets??? They were gone in a couple hours after being announced mid-day by Mayor's Office.

That's funny, it was cold on the Paulus Hook side... could not take pictures without gloves for more than a couple minutes if that... can't imagine standing on ice on the concert side.

Yes indeed. Like all the folks who were SHOCKED -- shocked! -- to discover how much of the Snooki & J-WOWW thing was scripted.

And Jersey City benefited soooo much from that fiasco! Well, the cops did.

JC and the City Government had nothing to do with this event happening here at all. Macy's put it on and its a state park so they basically just secured the park and did it. I don't think any of our officials were event there. I was there as a volunteer. It was kinda sad that the weather made the turnout so terrible, but its to be expected. And they didn't publicize this to locals enough at all.

Because it looked good on TV. This wasn't a concert designed for the people attending it, but for the people watching in cozy living rooms. (It *did* look good, to be honest. And it was nice to see the CRRNJ Terminal all lit up.) But the audience is just part of the set for stuff like this. The bands don't even play during the commercial breaks.

I'm glad we went, even though it was coooooooold. The fireworks were beautiful.

from TV, it looked like Goo Goo Dolls were lip syncing or singing over pre-recorded music. I did hear them soundchecking/or pre-recording the music on all day Sunday from my apt.

We kind of figured that, but why did they get introduced again, before they played the video of them playing? So they played live, and then their performance was played to the audience a second time? That seems weird.

What the heck happened with the Goo Goo Dolls? When Joe Buck announced them, they just played a video recording of the Goo Goo Dolls performing.

They played earlier at around 7:15 and it was recorded. I think it had to do with timing around the 1 hour live spot. This way they only had to do two equipment switches during the show.

You're a more resilient man than me, I lasted about 90 minutes b4 my toes couldn't take it anymore. That sheet of ice we were standing on was just freezing right through my boots!

It was pretty damn cold standing on ice watching for 2 hours but worth it for the fireworks. Overall, it was put together well. (Except for Erin Andrews calling it New Jersey City)

Macey's / NFL did a great job... very good show but it was cold on the Morris Canal. Music sounded good, wish I had a ticket.

Yes. In front of my TV watching Jeopardy. What is with that sentence structure? It's like "Throw the horse out the window some hay."
