On Saturday, February 1, 2014 Visiting Homemaker Service of Hudson County (VHS) will present the First Annual ChillTown Craft Beer Festival (CCBF). All proceeds from this event benefit the VHS Child Abuse Program (VCAP). In addition to great craft beer CCBF will feature live entertainment, door prizes provided by local businesses, exhibits from local artists, great food and a variety of vendors. Tickets to Hudson County?s first craft beer festival are limited and provides an intimate setting for tasting and learning about craft beer, while benefiting an important VHS program.

For 55 years VHS has been providing Hudson County families with a variety of home care services to meet the needs of its special populations. VHS believes ?no child should live in fear, especially at home.? The goal of CCBF is to raise $50,000 for VCAP services through ticket sales and sponsorships. VCAP focuses on the family as a whole. Staffed by specially trained Certified Home Health Aides, Licensed Case Workers, and Family Counselors, VCAP seeks to ensure a safe environment for our children. Dedicated to strengthening the family unit, VCAP provides in home services to families in crisis.

CCBF offers two sessions ? 1:00pm to 4:00pm and 7:00pm to 10:00pm. Tickets are available at www.vhshudson.eventbrite.com. General admission tickets are $75 and VIP tickets are $100. VIP ticket holders will be granted access to the festival one hour prior to the start of each session and they will also receive a gift bag filled with goodies from local businesses.

Featured breweries include: New Jersey Beer Company, Brooklyn Brewery, Carton Brewing, Climax Brewing Company, East Coast Beer Company, Boaks Beer, Yards Brewing Company, 21st Amendment Brewery, Unita, Elysian Brewery, Cider/Import Table, Smuttynose Brewing Company, Lagunitas Brewing Company, Newburgh Brewing Company, Stoudt's Brewing Company, Flying Dog Brewery, New Holland Brewing, Captain Lawrence Brewing Company, Clown Shoes Beer Company, Radeberger, Schofferhofer, Rodenbach, and Boon

The Culinary Conference Center is a short walk from the Journal Square PATH Station and discounted parking is available across the street.

Local Sponsors Include: Green Villain Jersey City, New Jersey Beer Company, Culinary Conference Center, Yelp, John Holl -Author of The American Craft Beer Cookbook, New Jersey Craft Beer, SILVERMAN , HopUnion, Kook & Sons, Magnets.com, RICOH USA, and more to be announced.
