Forgive me if any of this has been mentioned before, I just couldn't read through 500+ posts.

I have no opinion on Chris Christie's future, nor does the evidence suggest to me that he was actually involved in creating this OR not involved in creating this, I'm still waiting to see how this plays out. But whoever was involved with this, in light of the fact that an ambulance was delayed in getting to the scene of an accident, should be indicted on criminal charges. There shouldn't be any question on that, given that peoples' lives were endangered.

But another thing I want to point out about this who debacle supposedly set up to make the Fort Lee mayor look bad, it just doesn't make any sense to me and whoever thought they were going to make the mayor look bad is about as idiotic as they come, because:

1. Hundreds of thousands of cars go over the GW Bridge every day - only a fraction of those people live in Fort Lee and could vote for the mayor.
2. Even the small fraction of people from Fort Lee who might have been inconvenienced by the traffic jam who bother to vote would be angry at the Port Authority, not the mayor - he has no control over the bridge.

Whoever decided to to create this traffic jam should take new lessons on making politicians look bad, because they obviously didn't learn anything the last time. It all makes no sense.
