?The mayor is young man who represents the new generation,? Guarini said. ?He is the future of what this community will develop into and his military service identifies him as a concerned leader. And hopefully he will be given help and support and guidance by those of us who carry with us history and experience of the past.?




Fulop?s job is to blend this ?bifurcated city,? Guarini added.

?The inner city doesn?t seem to have any relationship in common with the waterfront people, which are basically people who work in New York,? he said. ?And the task is how do we grow it into a city where the inner city and waterfront city are part of the same community.?
