Hamilton Park is as close to a PATH station as most of Paulus Hook.

I'd agree with this. If you still have to work, you ain't rich IMO.

Rich is subjective.. but usually people use it to mean someone who has more than them.

She has a rich vocabulary. Seriously what is considered rich these days? When I think of $$$$ rich I think of someone making at least 20k a month.

Is anything less than that considered rich in 2014?

I do not consider folks making 150k a year as rich.

Either you work for them, or you live there, or both.

You couldn't pay me to move into that neighborhood. I do value my life.

The area around the Beacon has the potential to turn around pretty quick. The biggest issue are the housing projects next door. They however, are being emptied out and from what I have been told, will then be torn down.

I'm not afraid to think big and I propose the bold plan of putting the entire Beacon complex ON WHEELS and rolling it down the hill to a nicer neighborhood. In fact, why not use the Embankment since its pointing right at a nice waterfront location?

Agree perhaps saying something other than very rich would have reduced on the eye roll or the desire to put the poster down a notch (it's like the expression "don't hate me because I'm beautiful" lol). Perhaps tact by saying "affluent" or something less brash. I think the wording is a sore point when there's such a gap now between the rich and poor that hearing "rich" (if you watched the documentary by Johnson & Johnson's heir - no one with money ever talks about being rich, let alone writing the word, apparently the elite have a code about these things)..but does than mean she deserves to be antagonized in this forum? Oh that's right it's JClist! Of course she does (insert sarcasm here). Then again, it's worth debate considering the times we live in.

I highly doubt that anyone who is used to rich surroundings and luxurious environments would consider the neighborhood around the Beacon to be acceptable by her lofty standards. The building is great but the neighborhood is not.

You consider a brief message board post to be "work"? lulz

Just PM her some info so her VERY rich friend can continue her Mani-pedi and not have to move a muscle. You dunce.

Nothing about her post suggests that she doesn't want to "move a muscle".

You've referenced her wealth several times. U mad she's rich, bro?

Disregard Hamilton Park. Not exactly close to PATH access. Paulus Hook is probably your friends best bet. Many apartments there have tons of amenities, parking and walking distance to Exchange Place PATH. Some spots near Grove Path are good but not as nice of a neighborhood relative to Paulus Hook.

Hamilton Square is quite nice. Secured entry, doorman, and many amenities. The building is super green, but there are tons of small features that are lovely, such as heated bathrooms, wine fridges, etc.

The area boasts wine shops, restaurants, art events, Hamilton Park, schools, valet, underground parking garage, and other good stuff.

Here's a linkaroo: http://www.livingonthepark.com/building

I will admit title of thread made me giggle. But I wish your friend all the best as they look for a new dwelling.

Christ, was this snarky comment really necessary?

Nothing about the post implied that they wouldn't use a realtor but it's always good to ask the locals for info as well.
