Liberty Humane Society?s biggest fundraiser and outdoor festival of the year, Bark in the Park, will be held this Saturday from noon to 5PM at Hoboken?s Church Square Park! We encourage animal lovers to join us for the walk and festival for a day of fun benefiting the homeless animals at Liberty Humane Society. The donations that are raised at this event are put towards everything the Liberty Humane animals need to find their forever homes including vaccinations, spay/neuter surgery, and so much more. Click here for more information about the event: http://libertyhumane.donorpages.com/BarkinthePark2013/ To celebrate the event?s 10th anniversary, we?re making the festival even bigger and better for our guests! We?re pleased to welcome Justin Silver, star of the CBS series ?Dogs in the City? as our celebrity host provided by the Hoboken Comedy Festival. Lots of fun is planned for humans as well with the children?s carnival, a 50/50 cash raffle, and a silent auction which you can also take part in online. There will also be plenty of opportunities to get your pup some exercise. Try out their athletic skills on the agility course where volunteers will be on-hand to help your pooch along the course. Get your dog?s costume and best tricks ready because there will also be awesome prizes for this year?s contests. (Hint: Prizes will include something for mom/dad and the pup.) Join us for all of this plus shopping at the pet boutique filled with 40+ vendors, $25 microchipping, and the chance to meet local skateboarding celebrity, Beefy the Bulldog. Looking to add a furry companion to your life? The adoption area will feature animals big and small from Liberty Humane, TLC Rescue, and See Spot Rescued. So take a walk for the homeless animals of Jersey City and Hoboken! Online registration for the walk will be open until Friday at 5PM, but you can also register the day-of beginning at 11:30AM. The festival afterwards is free and open to everyone! Liberty Humane Society is also thankful for our friends at K9dergarten and Yelp for being the main sponsors of Bark in the Park 2013.
