That noise has been around for years. It is much louder in the winter.
It does seem louder.

didn't hear it myself. but when I lived in Kearny and the wind was out of the east occasionally I would hear what sounded like a jet engine revving down the hill. it was actual jet engines in use at the power station down in south Kearny, on the edge of JC. it looks like they added massively to that capability last year.

Yea exactly!
Noise is still there, sounds a lil louder even with all the traffic & everything going on outside. Its def not roadwork or there would of been some pauses by now & has been constant since who knows how long before 5am.

Its now 6:20am & there's been a strange humming noise going on since maybe 5am since I noticed it.
I'm down here by IHOP off 440 & my other friend also hears it & he lives in the heights. Anyone else hearing this right now??? I've heard this before also maybe 3 or 4 years ago but even louder.
