we felt the same way!
just a shame to think that it could meet the wrecking ball .. our worry, being neighbors to the property, is that it will end up like 3 eye sores (see most new construction in JC) ...

I'm curious about this house, too. I attended that estate sale and was blown away by the house and its potential---huge spaces, beautiful moldings, grand staircase, amazing pierglass in the front parlor. According to the man who was running the sale, the family who lived there made coffins in that parlor!!!

That corner lot was bought by an Indian family. No idea as to what the future holds for the property. The grounds were overgrowing with foliage and a neighbor complained.
It was trimmed immediately so that's a good sign.

My wife and I just bought up the street and attended an estate sale at this property about 3 months ago...
Guy who was running it said there were multiple cash offers already for the property -- looks like it could be about 3 lots ... It's a fantastic home that will most likely and unfortunately meet it's demise ... Any word on who bought and what will be going there??
