Jersey City man shot seven times on the mend at hospital By Anthony J. Machcinski/The Jersey Journal on March 19, 2013 at 3:52 PM Print A Union Street resident was shot seven times early Saturday morning on Grant Avenue in Jersey City, police said. Around 4:31 a.m., the 35-year-old victim was found lying on the ground behind a car in the 100 block of Grant Avenue, reports state. When asked what happened, the victim told police, "I just said to them 'What's Up' and they started shooting at me," reports state.
