You can try Danilo Baez on Newark ave DTJC he has been there for years, he also buys broken TV's. I also agree with the rest of the posters, its probably better to buy a new one.

Sorry to hear about your TV. Similar thing happened to me, but my TV was 5.5 years old when it croaked, and I had a 5-year Mack warranty. :(
They must engineer these things to fail at around 5 years. Anyway, Pinky's right - right now you can get a nice 50-in for about $500-700. Unless you had a Pioneer Kuro plasma, the picture quality will be better, too.

Try this read this If no luck, go for a new one. You will get an updated model and if you do you search well you can get one in the 500.00 range. Feb. is the best month for TV sales. Depending on what's wrong with the TV it may cost $$$$ to fix and just not worth it. Hope the second link helps....

I have a 50" HDTV. I purchased a 5 year warrany for it just under 5 years ago but unfortunately Sixth Avenue Electronics is now out of business. M*therf*ckers!
If there is one in town is it possible they'd pick it up and return it? Would getting it repaired cost me a lot of money?
