Good Samaritan thwarts armed robbery at Jersey City pizzeria

A Good Samaritan, who saw a robbery at a Jersey City pizzeria in progress, disarmed the masked robber, who was threatening an employee with a pipe wrench Saturday morning, police reports said.

Jose Perez, 18, of Palisade Avenue, was charged with robbery, possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes, and unlawful possession of a weapon, reports said.
