Could someone post an update for the area around 3rd and Jersey. Is there standing water? I haven't seen any mentions of this area.

And is the water starting to recede?

Same here, same intersection. Heard it was more than five... at least moving will be easy.

Well.. thought i would be slick and fire up the generator. O ring failed and i dumped a gallon of gas on my roof. Small upside... the blur arc lights of exploding transfoemers/against the dark night sky is rather beautiful.

Just talked to somebody at Port Liberte. 2-3 feet of water on the streets, water in garages and elevators. Three more feet and first floor apartments will be flooded. No power since 8 pm, no phone service. Several cars half-way submerged.

Reporting from 12th floor of Grove Pointe (Grove St and Christopher Columbus Drive downtown). All of Christopher Columbus Drive is flooded. Flood waters from Hudson/Exchange Place has covered the streets and sidewalks of Christopher Columbus Drive. It looks like a river down there (I can't see sidewalk or street - just flowing water!). They just turned off the elevators in our building.

Surge is exceeding estimates...

http://hudson.dl.stevens-tech.edu/SSWS/d/index.shtml?station=N017

The surge is starting East and heading West. It is looking at 12 ft+ in places.
