Most of the units weren't "released" to the market - typical for new developments. Better to rent it out than wait and sit on empty condos. Should rent fast with its location.

That is horrible for anyone who already bought in there. I would probably file suit for damages if I was an owner

Update: I am hearing the developer has decided to change this building into rental units due to not being able to sell the number of units they needed to.

It's the building on Christopher Columbus across from path. Next to the the hard grove cafe and that new 24 hr place (I forget the name).

I am gOing to take a look at them next week and while I can't speak to the building/noise/etc, I can't help to think that the value will skyrocket as more and more people migrate from lower manhattan and want a place literally right next to the path. As one of the posters said above, WTC is only s few mins away.

I have heard the top floor units are more or less gone.... Considering its only a 4-storey structure, the good thing is that there is an elevator... plus very close to the PATH & restaurants on Grove.....new construction...layout of the units was nice....one negative is that there are only providing W/D hookups...wish they wud provide the washer-dryer as well...

Read it again. The Grove not Grove Pointe.

Did I just enter a time warp or something?

Are we talking about Grove Pointe? Has this not been completed for many years? I viewed several units like 3 or 4 years ago and hundreds of people have been living there for years.

If you purchase a higher unit, the noise would not be that apparent. I would think the major benefit of this building is that the PATH is downstairs. If you work near the WTC, a 15 minute door to door commute would be magical.

Not to mention the music on the plaza.

I thought the units were kind of small for the listed prices. There is also no on-site parking (I was assured of ample rental available nearby). The staged model units I looked at had windows in the bedroom facing inward, so you get to see the side of an adjacent, older brick building and also someone's backyard, complete with children's toys and trash strewn all over the place. I guess the biggest draw is its proximity to the Grove Street PATH. The biggest negative would be the building's proximity to the PATH.

The foundations were originally laid in 2007 and then it sat vacant and filling with water for about 4 years before construction resumed.

Anyone know about this place - 109 Christopher Columbus. It is directly accross from the PATH. They are still in the process of building and some units have already been reserved. Looks like it can have the potential to be a great building, especially given it's location.
