In an apparent case of vigilante justice, a man and his two sons chased two men across Jersey City and smashed their car windows, leading to their arrests, Jersey City police said.
Michael S. Azmy, 27, of Avenue E, and Kirollos Y. Shakoul, 18, of East 23rd Street, both of Bayonne, were arrested at the corner of Communipaw and West Side avenues at 4:57 p.m. yesterday, a police report says. They were charged with armed robbery and weapons offenses. The 51-year-old victim told police he was in his store, Rene's Auto Store on Garfield Avenue, when the pair approached, pointed to the victim's name on paperwork on the counter and asked if that was his name, a report says. When he said it was, one of the men pulled a tire iron from under his shirt, saying "You are a mother f---er" and as he swung at the victim he said "Give me your f----ing money," a report says.Victim chases suspect.
