A burglary suspect who was being chased by Jersey City police today pretended to be shadow boxing and training when the cops started to close in, according to police reports.

George Waddleton, 41, of Gates Avenue, was arrested at McPherson and Courthouse places about 1:48 a.m. and charged with burglary, theft, possession of a hypodermic needle and criminal mischief, reports said.

Officers on patrol on Five Corners saw Waddleton dive out of the door of the Super Bazaar Store, roll on the ground and run down Hoboken Avenue, reports said.
