Jersey City?s mayor and police chief will host a second town-hall meeting to address public safety issues, in the wake of criticism from members of the public that public officials are not adequately addressing city crime.
The meeting will give residents a chance to express their concerns about public safety and meet the newly appointed police detectives who will act as a Community Response Team, Mayor Jerramiah Healy said in a release.
?We know that the last meeting held at City Hall was a positive interaction with the community and are hoping that the public takes advantage of this second meeting so that we can work as partners to continue to improve the quality of life in our communities,? he said.
Healy and Police Chief Tom Comey held a similar meeting earlier this month.
The meeting will be held on Thursday, March 22 at 6 p.m. at the Infinity Institute, 193 Old Bergen Rd.
