2 Jersey City men charged with early morning robbery, cops said

Two Jersey City men robbed a man of $30 early this morning and led police on a chase before being caught, police said.

A 12th Street, Jersey City resident was robbed near the Home Depot, 180 12th St., at 2:47 a.m., police said.

The alleged robber, Ganesh Gudar, 40, of Palisade Avenue, was seen driving away in a beige Dodge Caravan with Calixto Hernandez, 55, also of Palisade Avenue, police said. Gudar was charged with resisting arrest and robbery and Hernandez was charged with eluding arrest and robbery, police said.

Police pursued the pair, who ran several red lights in an attempt to get away, reports said.
