--------------------------------------------------------------- Hudson-Bergen Light Rail Back On Track Train Derailed After Colliding With Car Updated: Friday, 23 Dec 2011, 10:17 AM EST Published : Friday, 23 Dec 2011, 6:42 AM EST Service resumed late Monday morning on the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail. A train derailed at about 3 a.m. when it collided with a car. The vehicle became wedged between the train and a utility pole. The driver of the car had to be extracted and The car became wedged between the train and a utility pole. NJ Transit spokeswoman Penny Bassett Hackett said it appears the car ran a red light when it was struck on 6th Street. There were no passengers on the train. There were delays in both directions between Tonnelle Avenue and 8th Street in Bayonne.
