Chillfest presents a FREE screening of the documentary OUTRAGE, an in-depth look at closeted anti-gay politicians directed by Oscar nominated filmmaker Kirby Dick. Sponsored by Hudson Pride Connections Center and part of Jersey City Pride Week.
Featuring interviews with out U.S. Representatives Barney Frank (MA) and Tammy Baldwin (WI), out former NJ governor Jim McGreevey and activist Larry Kramer, the film examines the double lives of politicians who are anti-gay in their policies and voting records in order to prove they themselves are not gay. WHAT: OUTRAGE directed by Kirby Dick. WHEN: Friday, August 26th, 7:00PM (doors open 6:45PM). WHERE: City Council Chambers, City Hall, 280 Grove St, 2 1/2 blocks from Grove Street PATH station in Downtown Jersey City. HOW MUCH: FREE Chillfest presents gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender-themed films to Jersey City and the region, and is a sponsored project of New York Foundation for the Arts, a 501(c)(3) organization.
