The only people posting on Newport's message board are Sonia, the crazy site proprietor, and her daughter. Literally they have multiple accounts and log into the board as different users to have the appearance of many users.

I believe that Dixon Mills is considered the Van Vorst Park area.

Can someone tell me what neighborhood i am in. I live at dixon mills. It is downtown, of course, but it isn't van vorst, is it? i used to live on 1st and that was the village.... just curious...

it would be helpful but i don't think we ned it. like said before JC is small enough that getting to any neighborhood in the city is virtually easy, not like in other cities where neighborhoods can be miles and miles apart. i don't oppose it just don't see much point in it. but if you feel that it would make things easier by all means.......

Probably the latter. Jersey City is small enough that people usually know enough about most neighborhoods and can comment on many of them.

I'm fairly new to JC List, but I do find it pretty unhelpful to only have one neighborhood (Newport) with it's own message board. That said, I usually find what I want in the broader categories.

Makes me wonder:
Should there be more neighborhood sections?
OR
Should there just not be any neighborhood-specific message boards?
