Art House Productions presents SUMMERSTAGE JC ACTING CLASS FOR TEENS 5 Wednesdays, June 29 ? July 27 3:00pm ? 4:30pm ABOUT THE WORKSHOP: Acting for Teens will help you embrace yourself as an actor -- in a safe, supportive environment. This class is for young adults who would like to explore the craft of acting and gain tools to help them feel more confident on stage when speaking or performing in public. ABOUT THE TEACHER: Kit Vogelsang studied Theatre and Performance at Bretton Hall (University of Leeds) during which time she began working with the Bradford Youth Players (BYP). She continued directing their annual productions and running weekly workshops with them while she began undertaking her Masters Degree in Performance Studies; which she also completed at The University of Leeds. She continues to perform professionally both onstage and behind the scenes and is very pleased to be working with Art House Productions and the youth of the Jersey City area. SAY WHAT? Teen Poetry Workshop 5 Mondays, June 27 ? July 25* 3:00pm ? 4:30pm *July 4 class will be rescheduled based on participants? availability ABOUT THE WORKSHOP: This workshop will explore an exciting selection of poetic styles. The stylistic focus will range from slam to short form to cutting-edge multimedia, and will be determined by the students' own preference. Teens will have ample opportunity to write, perform and discuss their own new work. ABOUT THE TEACHER: Mel is a poet, performer and professor from Rochester, NY. She earned an MFA at Naropa University. Her performances have been viewed both nationally and internationally, from New York to Warsaw.
