We did a Christening for my daughter at The Embankment on 10th Street last year on a Sunday afternoon. Same size party. Worked out great. Highly recommended.

Not sure how many people you have but Amelia's has a nice private downstairs room

If you're looking to bring your own food, St. Paul's Lutheran at Five Corners has got a huge Community Center with ample parking and a great big kitchen for setup. If you call the main number, someone can help you get started.

That's Grand Banks Cafe. There are Christening type parties there just about every weekend so it is a popular location for that kind of thing.

I was walking by the corner of Washington St and Montgomerty (across from the post office) the other day and saw some people setting up for what appeared to be a baby shower.

From what I could tell, they seemed to be using the space, but pretty much had control of food and decorations.

Not even sure what this place is called, but the entrance is on Washington street.

Good luck.

Looking for recommendations on a good place in Jersey City or close by in Hudson county to have our sons christening. We're thinking the ideal would be a "hall" type place that has enough room for about 40 - 50 people, can provide tables and chairs, and we could provide trays of food and drinks.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
