finally tried this place tonight. my only suggestion would be that if you're close enough to pick it up, do that over delivery because our pizza basically arrived upside down with all of the toppings rolling around the box. it was pretty unacceptable but who wants to send food back when you're hungry on a friday night? anyway...

we ordered the hummus, the moroccan vegan grilled chicken pizza, and the moroccan vegan chicken wraps. wraps and pizza were spicy! i'd have to say their hummus was the best i've had from delivery in this area. i'm happy to see more places in the area sprouting up with vegan options on the menu. (i noticed the menu for parkside bistro had a decent list, but i still havent tried them out yet)

Tried 3 boys a few times since new owner. Had a couple pizza slices, chicken shawarma sandwich, and grilled moroccan chicken pizza. All of it was great. Also, the owner is very attentive. Great addition to downtown.

Well I started to go there but went next door instead, I was already regretting it after I had already just ordered the pie, the owner even admitted that everyone says his neighbor is better, but leave it to me and rooting for the underdog, I def want to try them soon though and they will deliver anywhere in JC they said.

Anyone try the new 3 boys pizza on Monmouth? I live right around the corner from it. Wow. The new owners got it right. It is Arabic/Tunisian food with pizza and a lot of vegan options. I got their vegan Moroccan chicken pizza and seriously it is better than regular pizza. FYI, I am not a vegan. Someone made me try it.

I suggest trying the new place.

The sandwiches are awesome! I've tried the Moroccan Chicken, Merguez, and Shwarma all have been great. You can get a pita or a hero and the price is very good for the amount and quantity that you get.

The pie the had out looked old and not too appetizing, but our wraps and pitas were really tasty, so I'll definitely be back for that. I'll try the pizza soon (maybe in another week after they get their feet wet), but for now I'll probably just keep getting my pizza at Frank's.

My girlfriend and I went by late last night and grabbed some food. It was really good and reasonably priced. The owner was really cool and comped us two drinks. It's nice to have a place open late in that part of the neighborhood. I'll definitely be going by regularly.

Mikey, the husband said that the harissa sauce was HOT and that the owner offered an even hotter sauce that he had available! :-/ Too hot for me, but hope you like it! :)

I didn't see lamb shwarma, but he does have chicken shwarma. But I'm sure if you stop by and offer suggestions, he will be glad to accomodate!

Owner is an energetic young guy eager to promote good, healthy food in the neighborhood.

It's funny, a few weeks ago my wife and I were discussing closed store and the "dueling pizza" situation there, and I said "why don't they open a felafel shop there?, there's only one in town and then there would be plenty of business for both shops." I guess some ideas ARE inevitable! I'll bet they're making pizza just to play it safe and because the place came with pizza ovens.

If it's good and reasonably priced it'll be on my lunch rotation.

I wish them well however I hope they actually provide trash cans to compensate for all the white paper plates that are usually dropped all over monmouth by their patrons.

Hope they do well and I hope the harissa is HOT.

Anyone know if they have lamb shawarma?

The new owner is a young guy who is really excited about his new business opportunity. He spent a lot of time cleaning out the old place - I'm a neighbor so he gave me a tour to show me how much work he did..it is really spotless in there now. My understanding is that he still has to offer pizza as a term under his lease...but he wants to make it more healthy (like whole wheat dough/grilled veggie options). I can't wait to try some of his food!

Hopefully the new ownership gets on board with keeping the area clean. School is back in session and we all know the trash these large groups of high school kids from Ferris leave behind from their lunchtime gatherings. Paper plates and pizza crusts need to be picked up everyday as well as a can placed out front during EVERY lunchtime. Well see!!!

We are game - 3 Boy's storefront looked really nice when we went by yesterday! Nice to see it getting in line with those other newly redone storefronts on Monmouth -- we just hope Frank's pizza turns off that crappy music blasting outside. What is with that guy???

We tried it tonight! The chicken shwarma wrap was awesome - healthy and light while still extremely flavorful, with perfectly cooked chicken. I think this place will do well if they emphasize their healthy Mediterranean options - great for the neighborhood and will suit the tastes of the yoga studio patrons next door!

Heights, I'm not sure that it's trying to be a pure Italian place! The places you mention sound great, but I have never been to the Heights so can't post my input on them!

We just noticed that 3 Boys Pizza (4th and Monmouth) reopened under new ownership and has a completely different menu...they still serve pizza (plain, grilled veggie, and pepperoni), but also have a Mediterranean/healthy new twist!

You can get hummus, babaghanoosh, or tacos/pitas/wraps/rice platters of falafel, Moroccan grilled chicken, Shwarma chicken, Tunisian tuna, or grilled vegetables! You can also order pizzas with these toppings.

I live really close by and can't wait to try it!
