I guess you have to define residential, the area could be considered commercial. Either way, good luck getting anyone to do anything about it if it is illegal

check the EPA rules - there would be something about commercial dumpter collection guideline times near residential area

I can't hear the fireworks because of this....

this happens down the street from me too, fact of life in JC. It doesn't even bother me anymore, and I actually find it preferable to scumbags screaming at each other and morons driving around with their bass blasting.

that's around the time my dumpster gets picked up on Tuesday morning. Pickups are overnight because there is no traffic making it easier to move large trucks through the city. This is part of the reason that J.C. moved to overnight trash collection a few years ago.

Hi Everyone,

I recently moved into a great apartment but have noticed that the diner that is adjecent to my apartment building has their dumpster emptied at 2:30am... pretty much every day. The sound the truck makes and the slamming of the dumpster back onto the ground is enough to wake me up, and I'm a heavy sleeper.

Are there any type of rules about when this type of noisy trash collection can/can't be done?

I love my new apartment and it's not enough to make me move.... but it sure is annoying.
