Transit 06/04/2010 09:22 AM Pergrine Falcons Get New Home Atop Verrazano Bridge By: NY1 News Two peregrine falcon chicks now have a great view of New York Harbor. The Department Of Environmental Protection, along with Metropolitan Transportation Authority Bridges And Tunnels placed the chicks in a nest atop the Brooklyn tower of the Verrazano Bridge. This after wildlife officials determined the chicks' original home was not a safe environment. The MTA says the [peregrine] falcons already in the nest took to the new arrivals and quickly adopted them.
