Meet Marimer Navarrete and Arthur Zigman who are running for JC School Board for a 3 year term. We discuss various issues that impact parents and taxpayers. Also streaming off this site, but will not broadcast until April 7th, is PART 2 of this series. The 4 candidates on that show include Terry Dehere (incumbent), Carol Lester, Jerry McCann (incumbent) and Sterling Waterman. On both shows we discuss the expired teachers' contract, the $27 million cut in state aid, Superintendent of Schools Dr Epps' contract which expires 6/30/2011 and other school issues. Very informative and the schools cost every taxpayer approx 25% of their tax bill.... JC is an Abbott District with a $630 MILLION budget facing $27 Million in state funding cuts beginning July 1st with more to come. Hear what the candidates have to say... The school board election is Tuesday, April 20th.... PLEASE VOTE! It's a LOW turn-out election so EVERY VOTE COUNTS.
