TRANSMUTATIONS BY SHUA GROUP AND LIVING THINGS sound * action * object * action * sound SATURDAY, DECEMBER 12TH, 2009 * 8PM $10/$5 artists and students  Transmutations is a sound and movement performance by Brooklyn-based band Living Things and Jersey City-based performance group, Shua Group. The evening bends and refocuses viewers' perceptions through "transmuted" use of the body, sound, instruments and objects. Instruments become props, bodies become instruments and every-day objects soundmakers. Supported in part by a grant from the American Music Center.
