If I was outside smoking some pot, and I saw a bunch of kids playing in the street, I would've called the cops too. That neighbor really did the neighborhood a service.

Parents really need to be more responsible. Kids should be playing in parks, not in the streets.

This is all hype and non-sense. A continuation of failed Bush Policies of "scare everyone into submission". Funny, its right around UN week. Significance? I BET!

Unfortunately, Obama has taken the same approach as Bush, and we will keep being terrorized by our own Government agencies and police forces.

a personal beef (cool bats not withstanding) hardly seems like a hotbed crime. If they used the bats to assault someone coming home from work, that might be crime. This sounds like two jerks squaring off.

across the street from 82 colgate there were a few cruisers and a meter maid responding to a fight. Don't know what started it, but when one guy grabbed a bat, the other grabbed a a awesome miniature bat. Don't think anyone got hit, but the cops took the guy with the real bat down to the pokey.

Downtown is becoming quite the hotbed of crime lately, eh?
