OK, looked in the windows again today. Seems it is going to be an indian grocery store. Because we don't have enough indian style places on that block! Salt and Pepper has new owners, tiffin box closed .... there is too much competition for these places to stay in business.

I peeked in the other day - they have removed the kitchen setup so it is now one big space. Also, the front is being refinished with a faux stone facade. I think it is safe to say Tiffin Box is gone.

Don't know what they are putting in there, though. Would love a decent restaurant besides fast food or Indian-style, but with the kitchen ripped out I don't think that is what they are building. Or a decent supermarket.

I live about a half block from white castle - sometimes I take a cab home from the path so Im not tempted. Gotta love murder-burgers.. lol

I keep saying I'm going to go in -- haven't had a half dozen mystery burgers, bag of rat tails and can of drano in a long time -- but I always wind up at Dhosa House or something. Go figure.

Actually, it was infuriating watching Harold & Kumar, because there were SO MANY closer White Castles! But hey, they were toasted.

This building used to be half vacant and half occuped by the Tiffin Box. Does anyone know what they are building in this spot?
