According to a federal complaint, a cooperating witness was introduced to King by two unnamed people ? a consultant and Jersey City official involved with the Housing Authority and school board. They allegedly agreed to accept $5,000 on behalf of king for help with zoning changes for a Garfield Avenue property if he was elected to the council.

The consultant, according to the complaint, told the coorperating witness at a later meeting: ?[o]ne thing about Jimmy, even if he?s the only vote on the council, he?ll vote for your projects.?

Jeez. Just read Cammarano's indictment. If you don't want to go through the whole thing, just read the last 3 pages. Basically says that anyone who wasn't "with" him at the beginning that was competing with the guy providing the $$$$ was going to be "ground into dust".

If everything is on tape that they say is on tape, it is game over, no question about it. My God, I know this stuff goes on but it's depressing as hell to hear it being blatantly discussed.
