Hello friends,


You are invited to attend the "The Resonating Object" at Lex Leonard Gallery( 143 Christopher Columbus blv. Jersey City NJ) June 6-July 6, Opening/performances 7-10 pm on June 6th, 2009

This show spotlights sound as an art-form. Examining the divergent modes of operation that artists interested in this medium may take. The viewer is asked to consider the physical/ special and temporal qualities of sound. We are invited to observe, interact with and feel the space that sound occupies as well as examine our own notions of hearing, perception and experience. Featuring works by Amanda Barrett, Mark Cannariato, Michael Dooling, Jeph Jerman, Michael Slagle, Gocha Tsinadze.

Performances by:
Ilusha Tsinadze (guitar, samples, effects) with Jeremy Viner (clarinet, saxophone),
Gocha Tsinadze ( in collaboration with Michael Dooling, live dual channel sound performance with Film)
Gang Clan Mafia (Vela Phelan -turntable,samplers, knobs, transmissions. &Dirk Adams -found sound, constructed sound, mic, effects)

This exhibition examines sound as art through Installation, Sculpture,Video, Painting and Performance. This exhibit will be kicked off with special multi-media and sound based performances by artists from, NY, NJ, Massachusetts and California.
