Thank you, Pythagoras!

JCPD and City Hall seem to have a lot of "isolated incidents".

These 2 cops, Friebott on the skyway, Flood and her son, Lipski at the concert, Healy on his front porch and at Bradley Beach.... I know I'm missing a few...

So how many "isolated incidents" are necessary before you officially have "a trend"?

i wasn't being an idealistic BS slinger. i was trying to be descriptive. maybe refusing a DUI is conclusive of guilt, though. not sure.

guilty or not, they were arrested. and i think their pay has been withheld.

First of all, Brian McGovern is a Blackbelt so I doubt he started whatever happened.

To be clear, none of us know who started the altercation, but what the hell does McGovern being a blackbelt (in what martial art you didn't specify) have to do with anything?

Let me phrase differently ------- By the way you have written your statement, you're suggesting that one who holds a blackbelt could not be an instigator of something?

I missed that out, hes a 4th Degree Blackbelt in TaiKwanDo.

No I dont think he was the instigator, all I was saying was that if something was to "really go down", Im sure he would #OOPS# someone up, not just slap these people in the back of their head.

Now Officer Kevin Cieslak, a two-year member of the department, How do you explain driving 89-miles-per hour in a 25-mile-per-hour zone after allegedly being involved in a collision with a bread truck and he left the scene of the accident. But how do you do 89 MPH after colliding with a bread truck anyway rookie???

You need to put down that Pipe ,open your eyes and realize
no one is buying your explanation.

Ya'll voted for Healy and his cronnies, so ya'll can expect alot more of this Crap in the comming 4 years.

Pathetic!

Suuuuure ------- and because O.J. was found not guilty on two murders, that means he really was innocent.

Spare us your first-year law school idealism.

This officers brother who was also a cop was arrested at a card game with a convicted drug dealer that had over 5 ounces of marijuana and an illegal handgun when he was arrested.

Two Jersey City cops arrested Memorial Day weekend

by Michaelangelo Conte
The Jersey Journal
Tuesday May 26, 2009

Two Jersey City cops were arrested down the shore this weekend including one charged with punching a woman in the head and another with driving while intoxicated after doing nearly 90-miles-per-hours in a 25-miles per hour zone, officials said.

Officer Brian McGovern, a 10-year veteran of the department, was arrested yesterday by the Point Pleasant Beach Police Department and charged with two counts of simple assault, Jersey City Police Lt. Edgar Martinez said.

McGovern was allegedly involved in a fight in which he also punched the woman and a man, officials said.

Jersey City Police Officer Kevin Cieslak, a two-year member of the department, was arrested in Belmar by the New Jersey State Police yesterday and charged with driving while intoxicated, officials said.

Cieslak was allegedly involved in a collision with a bread truck and he left the scene of the accident, but was pulled over driving 89-miles-per hour in a 25-mile-per-hour zone, officials said.

Cieslak was issued summonses for refusing to submit to a breathalyzer test, reckless driving, leaving the scene of an accident, failing to report an accident, running a red light and driving in the opposing lane, officials said.

Cieslak's brother, former Jersey City Police Officer Joseph Cieslak, was fired in October 2007 after pleading guilty to official misconduct for playing cards with friends who were smoking pot and not reporting the unlawful activity, officials said.

The card game was at the Laidlaw Avenue home of a convicted drug dealer who was on probation at the time, officials said, adding that police found marijuana and a gun in the apartment.

The Jersey City Police Department is gathering information on both incidents and an investigation is being conducted by the department's Internal Affairs Unit, according to a statement released by Police Director Samuel Jefferson and Police Chief Thomas Comey today.

Both officers were off-duty at the time of their arrests and they have been suspended without pay pending the outcome of the investigation, officials said.

"We believe that these are isolated incidents and are not indicative of the hard work our men and women provide the residents of Jersey City," said Jefferson and Comey.

Anyone with information on the holiday arrests should contact the municipalities where they occurred.

Yes, Healy's example.........

.....and Kevin Freibott's example (of Pulaski Skyway-fame)

......and Martin Abreu's example (of Lower Manhattan-fame a few months ago, and whose luminary of a mother said "So my son went out and had a couple of drinks. He deserves to have a good time now and then.").

Hey, and the other cop this past weekend only punched a woman (yes, that's sarcasm on the "only") ---- at least he didn't shoot an ex-girlfriend in front of the West Precinct before cowardly shooting and killing himself. Oh wait ---- that was JC cop Julio Reyes in March 2003.

Psychopaths and losers --- one and all.

I don't know the rules governing the cut-and-paste of news content from other sites, so here's the link below.

Boy, oh boy, good old JCPD --- is there a municipality left where one of them hasn't been arrested for something?

Total friggin' idiots.
