Where do we find out if our abatement is up and how do we re-apply? I'm assuming the tax office? where is it located?

Yes it does apply to the current tax year. Go down there to straighten it out, asap. this should impact your taxes owed for the fourth quarter so take care of it before fourth quarter taxes are due, which I believe is Nov 1st. Usually they issue a credit against the tax bill for the fourth quarter.

Go to the tax assessors office.

Also, be sure to bring the judgement with you.

Sorry for such a newb question but could use some advice on my situation.

I received a memorandum of judgement back in June stating that my assessment has been reduced by 20% but my property tax bill for the year doesn't reflect this reduction. Does this judgement apply to the current tax year of 2008?

Theres only an automated phone to the JC collector's office. Do i need to go in person to get this straightened out or do somehing else. Any help would be appreciated!
