New York City DJ plays leaked Madonna song

DJ Steve Sidewalk is no stranger to controversy especially when it comes to Madonna, but that didn't stop New York City's "wild child" of pop music from premiering the latest from the material girl.

In a bold move, on Sunday night at his weekly award winning "Hot Mess" party, Sidewalk debuted Madonna's leaked track "4 Minutes to Save the World" to mixed reviews.

"This is much better than I expected," James from the West Village said.

His friend, Alex from the Upper East Side added, "Madonna is back!"

Others weren't as excited. Sarah from Jersey City, NJ said she wasn't impressed. "I came all the way out here tonight when I heard he was playing the song, and it wasn't anything like what I expected. We're having a good time though," she added.

This is the second time Sidewalk has played a leaked Madonna track. Last fall, he played what was said to be an early version of a song being tagged "Candy Shop."

Madonna's people cried foul and claimed the song was a demo that never made the album.
