Who did you call to get the fire company out? Sen Hai Chinese restaurant on corner of Newark Ave & Brunswick has a very loud chirping smoke detectors both inside and outside. The owner will do nothing. It has been going on for a year. Really annoying when windows are open in warm months! We live on 3rd Street right next door! Keeps our baby up.

Sleepless in the Village.

Again last night at 2am, 245 Newark Ave fire alarm went off.
This time the JCFD was very efficient, they turned it off just after 10 minutes or so. Seriously hope the builder is getting charged. I know he got fined a bunch for all the other rules he didn't follow in the construction of the building, so he might not care...but JC needs to collect.

Last night the new building that has entry on 1st and Newark ave at Coles (245 Newark Avenue) had its massive fire alarm going off again. This is probably 5th time where the fire department had to come to simply turn off their faulty alarm system. The alarm was going off for at least 25 minutes. In the past, I've watched as the fire department has to use the ladder to find an open window to enter the building.

This building has had many problems with its delays, I'm wondering if they have to pay fines for when the Fire Department comes out, as it seems like such a waste of city money.

Hoping the managers are reading this and thinking about ways they can be better neighbors. When renters move in soon, it will be really annoying if they have to exit their building in the middle of the night once a month.
