For the second time this week, authorities have recovered a body from the Hudson River, this time from the Hoboken waterfront.

The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office confirmed it’s Homicide Unit is investigating the death of a male whose body was pulled from the water near Pier A on Wednesday afternoon.

The discovery of the body comes two days after another body was recovered from the Hudson River near Exchange Place in Jersey City on Monday morning. Authorities have yet to release the identity of that person.

Members of the Jersey City Fire Department pulled a body from the Hudson River on Monday, authorities said.

Jersey City spokeswoman Kimberly Wallace-Scalcione confirmed that a body was recovered from the river, but did not have any additional information or the identity of the person. Police are investigating the person’s death, she added.

Freelance photographer Joe Shine, who was at the scene, said the body was removed from the water near 1 Harborside Place.
