Jackson Hill Main Street Special Improvement District will be hosting the 5th Annual Monticello Avenue Street Festival to be held on Saturday, September 8, 2018 from 12 pm to 6pm along Monticello Avenue between Communipaw and Jewett Avenues.

This year will feature an attempt to set the Guinness World Record for the longest Soul Train line! ?We hope to draw a massive crowd to put Jackson Hill and Jersey City in the record books. We are excited to host this type of event in the Jackson Hill District,? stated Michele Massey, Executive Director. ?We need to have more than 426 participants in order to best the record. Activities will feature main stage performances offering diverse entertainment for the whole family and there will be a special children?s area featuring games, balloon art, face painting, and a petting zoo with pony rides. The rain date for the festival is September 15.

There will be vendors with merchandise from clothing to original artwork and jewelry. There will also be a variety of delicious foods available for purchase. Interested vendors should contact the Jackson Hill Office or email manager@ jacksonhillms.com. There are vendor opportunities available.

The Festival is supported in part by JC Department of Cultural Affairs, Christine Goodman, Exec. Dir. and Mayor Steven Fulop and the City of Jersey City.
