Jim Florio to appear on panel on gun control, 2nd amendment

Former Gov. Jim Florio will be among the panelists at a forum on gun control at Saint Peter's University tomorrow night.

Florio, a Democrat, will join Assemblyman Raj Mukherji, D-Jersey City, and Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez on the panel, called Caught in the Crossfire: the Push for Gun Control and the Second Amendment. Kevin Callahan, a retired Hudson County Superior Court judge and a Saint Peter's professor, will moderate.

Attorney Jef Henninger and Alexander Roubian, president of gun-rights group the New Jersey Second Amendment Society, will round out the panel, hosted by the university's Guarini Institute for Government and Leadership.

The two-hour discussion begins tomorrow, Feb. 23, at 5:30 p.m. at the university's McIntyre Center in Dineen Hall, located at Kennedy Boulevard and Montgomery Street in Jersey City.
