supposedly he's gonna pen a book ... perhaps, that's the contemporary euphemism to spending more time with the family.

Excerpt from Auggie Torres' column today:

"After about five months, Fulop's director of communications, Ryan Jacobs, called it quits. He's not leaving for health reasons or because of family concerns. No the 20-plus-year-old former speech writer from President Obama's administration ? well, from U.S. Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx's ? says he's writing a book. No, I don't think it's about Fulop but rather about his Dee Cee days, possibly even a pop-up.

It was such a short run. After meeting him once, I expected to learn so so much.

Does he count as yet another director who has left the administration? Or does he have to be pushed? Was he? Oh well, next please."

I was wondering where he disappeared too. Seems like every bad news story crime story had JM's name as city spokes person. What exactly did this guy do to earn his salary?

JERSEY CITY ? Less than five months into his tenure as Mayor Steve Fulop's spokesman, Ryan Jacobs is leaving the Fulop administration.

Jacobs, 28, said today he will depart City Hall after Christmas to co-author a book about Republican and Democratic policies in the lead-up to the 2016 presidential race.

Jacobs' departure is the latest communications shake-up for Fulop, now in his second year as Jersey City's mayor and preparing for a gubernatorial run in 2017.
