So what happens to a guy like Fulop if his governor race falls flat? Looks like he won't be able to come back to his old spot as Mayor.

Get a job on the county payroll somewhere?

Three years after presiding over the legislative branch of the city government without any stains, together with his colleagues, Councilman Lavarro gathered his core and original group of supporters in the city’s Filipino community and announced his plans for the 2017 elections.

If circumstances permit, i.e., if Mayor Fulop won’t seek re-election as mayor, but runs for governor instead, he told his core supporters, including this writer, that he will be in the next mayoral race.
