Is it asking too much for the construction crew to indicate when they are closing the ramp? I generally find that the ramp is closed after 9 am weekdays.

After several mishaps with trying to take this ramp off Merseles Street, we have decided to just assume the ramp is closed pretty much all the time. Sowe just take 78 from 14th Street, like we are coming out from the Holland tunnel. Safe bet!!

Counter-intuitive - but taking Pacific as far as Communipaw, then heading to the LSC ramp is usually faster than Johnston given the lights sequencing around the light rail.

Thanks for the tip....I assume coming from that direction you can right on red (assuming the train isn't actually coming)

I think I waited there 10 minutes once. Does anyone know if the traffic apps list it? I'm amazed that my GPS with traffic can show accidents but not scheduled closures like this or the Bayonne Bridge.

Some apps post whatever is reported by the the users. So for example, if you use Waze, you can report this roadwork.

I haven't been able to figure it out but weekday from like 9- 2 is the highest probability times

Last Friday was closed in the morning but reopened for the evening rush hour.

Rather than following the detour, I'd get to Communipaw and head west until you hit the 1-9 entrance ramp which will take your right to EWR. Although, that's no chip shot either given the seemingly daily logjam at the 440 crossover.

Does anybody know the schedule of when that entrance is closed? In an uber to airport and it foiled me, as the detour route was backed up with traffic beyond belief.
