If you want a genuine soccer atmosphere Mulligan's is definitely the place to go. You'll be glad you traveled the extra distance. Otherwise try somewhere in NYC, Legends on 33rd and Nevada Smiths are both excellent.

I've been to Legends, Nevada Smiths... used to watch at Nathan Hales, before they had two and then one again. Mulligans is fine. I disagree on "best" since if I am jumping on the PATH, then I'd rather just head over to Harrison and walk into Kearny where I might watch a game with someone that played professionally.

I was hoping to find a place more local, in JC, that I could chill at is all.

Yeah, your best bet is Mulligan's. Some of the places mentioned above will put on the matches, but none of them have a dedicated crowd. Or at least not that I've found. Mulligan's has such a great atmosphere that it's always worth the slightly longer trip to Hoboken.

Ex-pats from all European countries and Red Bulls headquarters.

All EPL games shown at all hours.
This is THE PLACE!

+1 for Mulligans. It's been the go-to place for years.

NYC is developing quite a list. It used to be only the Red Lion and McCormacks (now closed).

I've been to a few of those, but are the crowds there specifically for the game or is it just one or two people watching a game while the rest are watching something else?

I'm mostly just looking to see which would be the best places to watch the USA, MLS or any of the European leagues play.

While I wouldn't be running out tonight for USA/Mexico, given the late kick-off, what bars would have a friendly supportive crowd?

Thanks!
